Priory Park playground is used by families all over the borough and beyond. Were your residents among the 800 who filled in the survey?
We received nearly 778 responses to our survey on replacing the old equipment in Priory Park, with over 400 in the first 24 hours. The reasons behind the replacement were explained in a news release and social media post which received extremely high engagement and coverage on Reigate UK and Get Surrey.
Choosing the right channel
Social media was the right channel to tell people about the survey as we know that lots of parents of young children are on Facebook and Twitter. Data from SurveyMonkey, which hosts our surveys, showed that people started completing the survey as soon as we published our first social media posts.
The first Facebook post about the survey was clicked on by 560 people, shared by 31 people and liked by 39 making it the Council's top post for October. In Twitter, the picture was similar. In terms of reach, it was the second most successful post (just behind a post about the Beacons of Light) seen by 20,000 people, 10 retweets, 17 likes and 77 clicks.
If you see one of our posts on social media that you think your residents may be interested in, even if it's not in your ward, please share it.
