New commercial opportunities at The Rise, Redhill
 

The Light and Tesco are secured as the first two key tenants in the mixed-use scheme, half the commercial floor space is now let. The Council is in discussions with a number of potential tenants, including both well-known national operators as well as local businesses for the remaining seven units, some of these units are now available through agents.

 

On the ground floor, centred around an attractive new pedestrian route, with exciting new feature lighting, there will be a range of places to eat and drink. On the first floor more leisure and workspace uses are planned.

Grant deadlines extended
 

The Omicron Hospitality and Leisure Grant scheme has had a deadline extension to Friday 18 March. The scheme is to support businesses that offer in-person services, where the main service and activity takes place in a fixed rate-paying premises, in the hospitality, leisure and accommodation sectors.

 

The Additional Restrictions Grant (ARG) has a deadline extension to Friday 18 March. The income/turnover of the business must be shown to have decreased by at least 50% since December 2021 due to the spread of the Omicron variant. Don’t forget you don’t have to be registered for business rates to qualify.

 

**NEW** Covid Additional Relief Fund  businesses, not previously eligible for COVID-19 rates relief, may be able to apply for reduced business rates through the COVID-19 Additional Relief Fund (CARF). So, for example any non-retail or industrial premise, like offices and warehouses that can demonstrate a loss in income due to the pandemic  Deadline midnight 13 March
