Celebrating rural life and activities that include everything from Terrier racing to fly casting, clay shooting and falconry. There is also a ploughing match, featuring vintage and modern tractor classes as well as horse drawn ploughing.

8 October: 'Over by Christmas' talk

An event for Reigate & Banstead Remembers WWI. An illustrated lecture by WWI expert Andy Thompson. In August 1914 no one could have foreseen the catastrophe that would unfold, the only thought was to get to the front before it was all over.

10 October: WWI on the Home Front
7.30pm, Banstead Community Hall, Park Road, Banstead, SM7 3AJ
TV Historian Kate Williams looks at the Home Front and how it impacted on women and also the 100s of people from abroad living in Britain at the time.

11 October: WWI Roadshow (show and tell)

An event for Reigate & Banstead Remembers WWI. Ian Chatfield the curator of Surrey Infantry Museum and other experts will be on hand to provide background information on any artefacts brought in. There will also be guidance available to help you research your own family war dead.

12 October: Film War Requiem

An event for Reigate & Banstead Remembers.
Derek Jarman's film combining images of war throughout history and dramatic sequences of people caught up in the First World War, set to a soundtrack of the poetry of Wilfred Owen and Benjamin Britten's oratorio.
