Anvil Court, the borough’s first extra care housing scheme in Blacksmiths Road, Horley opens its doors to residents soon, providing 60 one and two bedroom apartments for social rent or for purchase on a shared ownership basis.
Housing 21, a leading provider of care, health and housing services for older people is working with us and Surrey County Council on the scheme. Extra care housing allows residents to enjoy independent living with the security of a 24-hour care team on site, with care tailored to individual need. Additional facilities open to the local community and friends and family of residents include a restaurant, hairdressing salon and shop.

Catering service and hair salon business opportunities
If you run a catering or hairdressing business and are looking for a new venture, Housing 21 is seeking operators to run Anvil Court’s new kitchen and restaurant and onsite hair salon. Both facilities will also be open to the local community as well as residents.
To assist with your initial set-up costs, Housing 21 is offering the lease for the catering operation rent free for the first six months. For the hair salon, the lease will be rent free for the first two months.
