Coast to Capital Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) is seeking an outstanding Vice Chair in order to help lead the region and deliver its ambitious vision for economic growth.

 

Chaired by Tim Wates, the Coast to Capital Board brings together regional business leaders alongside senior politicians and leaders from Universities and Further Education.

 

Tim Wates Coast to Capital Chairman said:

“This is an important year for Coast to Capital. In 2019, the LEP will drive forward work to deliver our new Strategic Economic Plan, Gatwick 360, and will produce the area’s first Local Industrial Strategy. We also have an ambitious vision for the towns and cities in the Coast to Capital area to be known around the world as fantastic places to live, to grow and succeed and for the area to become the most dynamic non-city region in England, centred around a highly successful Gatwick Airport.

UK Counter Terrorism Protect Survey

The Home Office is running a short online survey to understand the need for counter terrorism protective security advice, training and guidance among businesses and organisations operating in crowded places. The survey is part of a high priority research project which will be used to inform government’s national security policy.

 
Crowded places will be found in a wide range of locations including: sports stadia, arenas, and music venues; and restaurants; pubs, bars, clubs, and casinos; high streets, shopping centres and markets; visitor attractions and events; cinemas and theatres; schools and universities; hospitals and places of worship; commercial centres and transport hubs. Crowded places can also include meeting venues, and open spaces such as parks and squares.
