Proposed licensing for landlords

Croydon Council is consulting on its proposals for a landlords licensing scheme. Under the proposed scheme, landlords would need a licence for each of the properties they let in the borough of Croydon.

Croydon Council is keen to give residents and businesses in Reigate & Banstead the opportunity to take part in the consultation because if Croydon was to go with its preferred option and introduce a borough-wide scheme, it may cause a displacement of problems to neighbouring boroughs such as ours.

Visit www.croydon.gov.uk/betterplacetorent to find out more and take part in the consultation, which closes on Monday 2 March.
