Thank you to everyone who submitted an entry for the Reigate & Banstead Business Awards. We had more than 100 entries before the deadline on the 21 November. Finalists will be announced on 10 January. 

We look forward to celebrating with you at the awards event at Reigate Manor on 27 January.  The Business Awards will celebrate our local businesses and showcase all their achievements, with a special evening hosted by presenter, Ortis Deley.

Free NHS Health Checks for the over 40s are available for Surrey workplaces, and are carried out by a trained health advisor who will come to your workplace. It can tell your staff whether they’re at higher risk of getting certain health problems such as heart disease, diabetes, kidney disease and stroke; as well as measuring their risk of developing these health problems.

The NHS Health Check includes the measurements of the following: cholesterol, blood pressure, body mass index, and associated lifestyle factors such as physical activity, alcohol consumption and smoking status. All results are sent (by agreement with the staff member) to their GP.

Brighton & Hove and Metrobus have ordered 20 Wrightbus hydrogen fuel cell vehicles for Fastway routes in the Crawley, Redhill and Gatwick Airport area. The single-deck GB Kite Hydroliner buses will be delivered in June 2022 and will be the first hydrogen powered vehicles in Go-Ahead’s fleet.

The single-deck fuel cell buses are part-funded with money from UK government and European Union zero-emission bus schemes.

The town, like many other places, is changing due to online shopping and new ways of working and living after COVID-19.
