Banstead Mum creates new jobs
Banstead mum Helen Opie was recently awarded a £1,000 Business Support Grant from Reigate and Banstead Borough Council to help her with the launch of her new eco-friendly domestic homecare business, Bright & Beautiful.

Bright & Beautiful will be managing a team of housekeepers to deliver ethical, professional and eco-friendly cleaning, tidying and laundry services using only non-toxic and eco-friendly cleaning products and equipment.

Helen is using the grant to help with her start up costs and create a number of jobs for local men and women.

Helen says: “Starting my own Bright & Beautiful business with the support of Reigate and Banstead Council has been a huge turning point in my life.  Like many women, when we started a family I was still very ambitious but wanted to find a path that allowed me to enjoy my work and home life equally.

The Grant is one of a number of initiatives undertaken by the council to support local businesses and encourage a vibrant local economy.Find out more about business support grants.
