Talent showcase auditions: 24 and 25 January

Star for a Night poster

If you have a young person in your family who loves to sing, dance or perform, tell them about Star for a Night.

Star for a Night is the council’s annual talent showcase for children and young people aged 11 to 18. Last year 80 young people from across the borough took part, benefiting enormously from the expert tuition provided during rehearsals in preparation for the final shows.

How to take part

Open auditions take place at the Harlequin Theatre, Redhill on:

  • Saturday 24 January, registration from 12.30-3.30pm
  • Sunday 25 January, registration from 2-3.30pm.

Rehearsals follow in February and March when participants receive free tuition in their chosen field of dancing, signing or acting. The final shows, in front of a paying audience, take place on 2 and 3 April at the Harlequin Theatre.

More information about what’s involved, plus the registration form, is on our Star for a Night webpage.
