Businesses from a diverse range of sectors and located across the region have been named the Best Companies to Work For in the South East list.  The 75 strong list complied by Best Companies recognises the organisations that are leading the field in creating engaging and exciting workplaces. The research suggests chief executives and senior teams understand that engaging with their workforce is the most effective way to attract and keep the best staff in challenging markets.

Have you seen the new Government Business Support Website, which brings together support and advice for small businesses in one place?

 

The website splits the support schemes into four areas:

  • Finance and business planning - including funding for new businesses and business growth, dealing with late payments, and equity and debt finance  
  • Leadership and Talent  - including mentoring schemes, help with recruiting, developing leadership skills or joining a network
  • Innovation and Technology  - including funding for innovation, adoption of new technology, intellectual property and finding partners for innovation 
  • Exporting - including support for doing business internationally and expanding online
