The awards recognise performance and dedication to sport in the borough for the period between 1 January and 31 December 2023. They are part of the Council’s strategy to promote active sport and encourage physical wellbeing.

Skills Bootcamps are part of the Government's Lifetime Skills Guarantee, helping everyone gain skills for life. Hampshire County Council has secured £1.8 million from the Department of Education to support learners through Skills Bootcamps in partnership with Surrey County Council.
Skills Bootcamps are available to employers of all sizes and across a variety of sectors within the Hampshire and Surrey areas. They can be used as an excellent recruitment tool to fill current and future vacancies, including succession planning. Where there are multiple skills shortage vacancies, providers may be able to tailor a course specific to your needs.
For employers wishing to upskill their existing workforce, there is an employer contribution. For SMEs (small to medium-sized businesses with less than 250 employees) there is a 10% contribution. For employers with more than 250 employees, this increases to 30%. Providers will be able to discuss this further with you if applicable.
