Promoting equality of access to all candidates is really important to us at Toyota GB, as is creating an inclusive environment where everyone is enabled to be their best and make the best use of their skills based on merit. We’re pleased to be recognised as being Disability Confident Committed. We want to play a leading role in changing attitudes around disabilities for the better. The scheme helps employers recruit and retain great people. It also helps customers and other businesses identify those employers who are committed to equality in the workplace. We’ve agreed to the Disability Confident commitments and have recognised ways that we can be even more inclusive, enabling everyone of all abilities to be their best at Toyota GB. The commitments are: – Inclusive and accessible recruitment – Communicating vacancies – Offering an interview to disabled people – Providing reasonable adjustments – Supporting existing employees We’re already on the way to achieving level 2 and becoming a Disability Confident Employer. This focuses around two themes: – Getting the right people for your business – Keeping and developing your people It doesn’t stop there, we’re also a proud member of the Business Disability Forum which supports Toyota GB by promoting best practice and influencing our policies.
