Business Support Grants
Very limited funding for 2023/24 remaining.
 

Do you have a great business which is looking to start, develop or grow?  Need some extra funding?

 

If you live in the borough or your business is based in the borough and has fewer than four employees, you could be eligible. Grants of up to £1,000 can be used to help fund new or improved equipment like machinery or tools through to IT and training. Simply fill in the online application, send us your supporting documents, and you will be invited in for a short interview to discuss your business ideas.

 

There is very limited funding left for this year, so don't delay!  Applications will be assessed on a a first come, first served basis with an application deadline of 31 January. We are expecting more grants to be available from April 2024.

Skills boost for Surrey residents and employers
Tuesday 13 February 09.00-17.00
 

Surrey Chambers of Commerce is running a number of sessions to help businesses boost their numeracy skills.  The Multiply programme is funded by central government via Surrey County Council

 

Learners will learn  how to use formulas on spreadsheet software and key business skills such as calculating percentages, profit and loss, basic accounting, VAT, net and gross income, and financial analysis.

 

Participants will also learn how they can create tables and graphs to track different performance indicators in their businesses.

 

You will need to bring a laptop with either Excel or Google Sheets!
