Residents asked for their views on the Redhill Town Centre Public Space Protection Order

Our public consultation on the Redhill Town Centre Public Space Protection Order (PSPO) launched Today (16 July). PSPOs aim to discourage anti-social behaviour in key public areas and give police officers and the council extra powers to intervene early – preventing anti-social behaviour escalating.

The Redhill Town Centre PSPO, introduced in 2017, covers the pedestrianized shopping area, Memorial Park and the area around the pedestrian railway underpass. PSPOs must be reviewed at least every three years and the Redhill Town Centre PSPO was last reviewed and renewed in 2023.

We now want to hear people’s views on the impact of this PSPO over the past three years. The consultation runs until Sunday 23 August 2026.

Help shape the New East Surrey Council brand

Local people can get involved in shaping the brand identity of the new East Surrey Council by completing a short survey by 3 August 2026. The new council will need to create its own distinct brand identity to help everyone recognise who is delivering local services. The new brand will be created at no cost by designers working in councils across Surrey. To help inform this design, residents, businesses, councillors, council staff, partners and community groups all have the opportunity to share their views. You also have the option to share your views on the future West Surrey Council brand too.

Arts Takeover 2026 line-up is bringing the feel-good factor to Redhill

The line-up for this year’s Arts Takeover has been revealed and it promises to entertain, inspire and surprise visitors to Redhill between 5 and 12 September 2026. Headliners include Blur drummer, Dave Rowntree; 80s Ska band, Potato 5; and author of the Rivers of London series, Ben Aaronovitch. There will be plenty of homegrown talent on show too; along with opportunities for everyone to take part and join in. Arts Takeover is developed and organised by Reigate & Banstead Borough Council in recognition of the power of art and culture to improve people’s wellbeing, connect local communities and support a flourishing town centre. Many of the performances and events are completely free to enjoy.
