Postal voters now need to reapply every three years

Postal voters who applied for their postal vote on before 31 January 2024 are now required to reapply for their postal vote by 31 January 2026, otherwise, they will expire, and electors will need to vote in person. The new rule follows changes introduced under the Elections Act. We are emailing and writing to affected electors who need to reapply to let them know that they need to take action. Applications can be made online, with options for those not able to do so. More information is available on our Reapplying for your postal vote webpage.
