Parking at Donyngs Leisure Centre and Refurbishing our tennis courts

Parking at Donyngs Leisure Centre

We are introducing ticket machines at Donyngs Leisure Centre which will continue to allow free parking for up to 4 hours. The tickets will allow us to enforce misuse of the 4-hour limit and keep more spaces available for leisure centre users. The ticket machines will be in operation from 20 May, although they will be uncovered a few days earlier to allow the solar panels to charge the machines. We are working with GLL and St Joseph’s Catholic School to inform regular car park users about the changes and would be grateful if you could also help share the news where relevant.

Refurbishing our tennis courts

We’re making progress on the project to refurbish all our tennis courts.

The refurbished tennis courts at Lady Neville Park, Tattenham Way Recreation Ground and Woodmansterne Recreation ground opened at the end of April and, if the weather stays warm and dry, we expect all the courts to be ready for action by the end of May.

When available, all our tennis courts are free to use and there’s no need to book.

The tennis court refurbishments have been funded through the Community Infrastructure Levy (a charge that local authorities can set on new development to help fund infrastructure, facilities and services in the area).
