You are invited to this Teams training session on Effective Councillor and Officer Relations on Thursday 23 April from 6.30pm to 8.00pm.  The training will be facilitated by Bethan Evans, an independent governance trainer and consultant who works with councils across England and Wales.

Beth will lead an interactive and fast paced session looking at the importance of effective relations between councillors and officers in a well-run council. We will explore the particular challenges of the period of local government reorganisation and the issues which will arise over the next year. Beth will draw on the new guidance from the LGA on Member/Officer Protocols including the principles of:

• Ethical conduct
• Mutual respect and trust
• Clear and well-understood roles and responsibilities
• Visible leadership
