Dear Members, the Local Government Association (LGA) is providing the following training and induction for newly elected councillors:

Welcome to newly elected councillors (national), Wednesday 19 June, 2-4pm

This national virtual event will introduce the LGA’s Chairman, Cllr Shaun Davies and Chief Executive, Joanna Killian to new councillors and will highlight the support available as well providing an overview of the challenges facing the sector. Members can register via the LGA's Events site after the elections.

Regional welcome event and induction for new councillors, Thursday 12 September, 1.30-4.30pm

The regional team will host a separate virtual induction for new councillors in the South East region which will provide an opportunity to meet other new councillors and hear from more experienced councillors, as well as introducing the LGA’s regional team and support available from the LGA.
