The Harlequin will be welcoming customers to its Café once again from this Monday 14 September, and is also reopening its spacious rooms for public hire.

An image of the Harlequin's new cafe food selectionThe Café is under new management and will be opening with a fresh look and a brand new menu. Based in the Harlequin Theatre & Cinema in Redhill town centre, the Café offers tasty food, comfortable surroundings and some unbelievable September deals: freshly made sandwiches, panini and kids’ lunchboxes are just £2.50, and you can enjoy a slice of homemade cake or a delicious coffee for only £1.

In October the Café is launching an exciting new menu with a fantastic range of hot and cold dishes. Customer feedback will be sought in the first fortnight in exchange for some more great discounts. The Café will be open daily 10am-3pm.

What’s more, the Harlequin is reopening its rooms for public hire. This includes a unique opportunity to hire the auditorium while it is closed for live shows, at a heavily discounted rate. The size of the auditorium means that larger groups can safely socially distance for their event or meeting, and the space is incredibly flexible with tiered seating and flat-floor options available. The auditorium, alongside the venue’s bright and airy meeting rooms, will be available to hire at extremely reasonable rates for anything from business meetings to exercise classes and fayres. Contact HQAdmin@reigate-banstead.gov.uk to make an enquiry or visit www.harlequintheatre.co.uk for more information.

To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all customers, extensive safety measures will be in place in both our Café and hired spaces. Such measures are already in place in The Waller Studio cinema, which remains open, showing a wide range of classic and family films alongside recent and new releases.

Cllr Alex Horwood, Executive Member for Wellbeing and Intervention, said: “We are so pleased to be gradually reopening the Harlequin. We greatly value the support we have received from the community over the past months, and it’s very important to us for local people to be able to benefit from our venue.

“Reopening our Café, alongside our cinema and meeting room hire, allows us to do this even while we aren’t showing live performances. We hope the public will enjoy the fantastic food and drink on offer in our Café – and may consider booking a room for a socially-distanced meeting, exercise class or event, all at incredibly reasonable prices.”
