Joint Youth Hub celebrates strong first-quarter results
The Redhill Youth Hub is off to a strong start, with more than 101 young people engaging with the service in its first quarter. The joint project, funded by the Department for Work and Pensions and delivered by Surrey Lifelong Learning Partnership in partnership with Tandridge District Council, is already exceeding expectations. Demand has been around three times higher than originally anticipated, showing the value of targeted employment support for young people in the area.
Based at the Asian Social Centre in Redhill, with outreach support available in Caterham and Oxted, the Youth Hub provides tailored employment support for young people aged 18 to 24. In its first quarter, the service has already helped 14 young people move into employment, marking an encouraging early success for the partnership.
The strong uptake demonstrates the need for accessible, local employment support and highlights the positive impact of partnership working across the district.
