Jubilee bank holiday recycling and waste

Our bin crews will be working hard over the jubilee weekend so there will be NO changes to your bin collections. If you are putting up bunting in your road, please ensure it is more than 13-feet above the road surface to prevent our collection lorries being impeded.

If you’re planning a #jubilee celebration or street party, please remember to plan for your extra waste. Try to avoid single-use plastic and recycle wherever possible. If you have too much waste for your bins you can visit one of our recycling sites or consider heading to your local community recycling centre - remember to check opening times and take proof of address with you.

Council tax rebate
Council Tax rebate update

We have begun writing to eligible households who do not pay their Council Tax by direct debit explaining how to claim the Government’s £150 energy rebate. Due to the volume of households to be contacted, it could take a couple of weeks to receive your letter, so please bear with us. We have paid the majority of people who pay their bill by direct debit.

Your vote matters - don't lose it
Election results

Thank you to everyone who took part in last month's borough council elections by casting their vote. The process would not be possible without the hard working volunteers who give up their time to staff polling stations and to process the votes at our election count at Donyngs Leisure Centre. Thank you to everyone involved!
