Plastics pledge
 

We announced the Council’s commitment to reduce its use of single use plastics in a media release to local and trade media and direct to residents in social media.

Our publicity talked about the Council's commitment to do all it can to eliminate its use of single use plastics from our buildings, facilities and services. The news proved popular with our Twitter followers: 81 people clicked on the post, it had 14 likes and seven shares plus an overall reach of over 16,000 Twitter users.
