Welcome

Find out what the Reigate & Banstead Communications team has been working on this month...

... and, perhaps more importantly, how you can support these campaigns and issues as Council Members.

Member Presentation and Communications skills training

This course is designed to give Members increased confidence and the essential skills for presenting in public, particularly at Council committees and public meetings. The training is for all Councillors but is particularly relevant for Committee Chairs and Members.

The next session is on Monday 24 February, at either 2-5pm or 6-9pm.

It will be delivered by Richard Uridge, an experienced trainer and ex-broadcaster who has worked for the BBC and other networks across the world.

More detail can be found on the e-Members room.

At the beginning of January, we welcomed Anna Quigley as our new Campaigns & Digital Communications Team Leader.

She has a strong local authority background, having previously worked for the London boroughs of Croydon and Lambeth.

Once settled in, Anna will be spearheading several campaigns, including our upcoming project around environmental sustainability.

Reigate & Banstead 2025

Our ambitious new five-year plan – Reigate & Banstead 2025 – was adopted at January’s Full Council.

So that our residents can see how we are getting on, we’ve pledged to publish annual progress reports on our website and share updates via our social media channels. Please share these as you see appropriate.

We have also planned a Facebook Live for Wednesday 4 March to give residents the opportunity to ask us any questions they have about it. We will share the details in the coming weeks.
