The Great British High Street
Competition launches 7 July

The Great British High Street Competition launches on 7 July. From high streets packed with small, independent businesses to booming city centres with national retailers, the competition celebrates the hard work being done by communities across the country.

This year, the competition is even bigger and better, with ten categories and the opportunity for four individuals to be named High Street Heroes. The first phase will focus on competition entries. Anyone can nominate their local high street using a simple application form. So now is the time to shout about the hard work of your local community and to get those entries in.

Once the shortlist is announced in the autumn, the public vote will open, giving people the chance to choose their best-loved high street.

Tonbridge to Redhill and Reigate Line
Redhill Station update from Sussex Community Rail Partnership

Redhill Station Manager, Iain Wagg, asked if Sussex Community Rail Partnership could do anything to help improve the appearance of the empty office adjoining the ticket hall, which would probably remain empty as the front of the station is due to be replaced/re-built sometime in the not too distant future.

We originally envisaged a few posters to promote some local events, however, we hadn’t reckoned on the involvement of the team from Reigate & Banstead Council, who had been asked for help in providing some information on the regeneration plans for the town. These windows have been transformed by panels informing passers-by and those waiting in the ticket hall of plans for the town centre, forthcoming events, business start-up assistance and other projects.

Can you help local charity with printing?
ESDAS (East Surrey Domestic Abuse Services) need your help

Local charity ESDAS is asking for assistance with printing leaflets and publicity materials. They are in the process of rebranding and want to reprint many of their leaflets and posters (having run down stock on the old versions). They would welcome help from a local business who could do this in house for them.

If you feel you would be able to help with some of the printing please get in touch.
