New Reigate Fire Brigade Museum visit

The Surrey Fire Museum is the short name for the Fire Brigades of Surrey Preservation Trust, a charity established in the 1980s to preserve the history of firefighting within the historic boundaries of Surrey.

Since then the Surrey Fire Museum have put together an important collection of historic manual pumps, uniforms, equipment, medals, photographs and ephemera, holding museum open days and participate in the annual SFRS day at Wray Park.

An official opening of the museum in its new home in Woodhatch Place was held on 28 June this year and they would be delighted to show councillors around.

They are also looking for volunteers to help with museum open days and work days, commitments are minimal, do what you can when you can!
