K9 Rescue Ukraine

K9 Rescue Ukraine are a charity which helps animals affected by the conflict in Ukraine.

Since the start of the war, their team have been on the ground, tirelessly working to help the millions of animals suddenly displaced by the conflict; providing food, medical supplies, veterinary aid, and facilitating their evacuation to safer regions, as well as providing food and resources to residents who have stayed behind to care for the animals.

In some areas, there are entire villages where only one household remains who are trying to feed all the animals there.

You can help K9 Rescue Ukraine by donating any of the items listed below:

• dog food - cans, biscuits, kibble
• already opened bags of the kibble or biscuits are also fine to donate if they are securely taped closed
• nlankets
• any unused medication that your dog has been prescribed
• cat food

Unfortunately, the charity cannot accept dog toys because dogs fight over them.

I Choose Freedom women’s refuge

We're also inviting staff to contribute to Christmas goody bags which will be given to ladies supported by I Choose Freedom women’s refuge.

The National Centre for Domestic Violence estimates that 1 in 4 women suffer some form of abuse in their lifetime.

Many of us may know someone that has, in one way or another, been affected. At this time of year, we want to reach out and show those who have fled abuse that they are not forgotten, and are worthy of love and support. 

You can help I Choose Freedom by donating any of the items listed below:

• Cosmetics
• Nice toiletries, soaps, moisturisers, body sprays, bath bombs
• Chocolates
• Feel good books (no books that deal with abuse)
• Mindfulness colouring books
• Socks, scarfs 
• Little craft kits
• No candles or alcohol please

There is no need to wrap items for the Women’s Refuge - Maggie and other volunteers will wrap them.
