Colin was a resident who served this borough for over 60 years and in was awarded an MBE in April 2013 for services to his local community.

In August he became an Honorary Freeman of the borough of Reigate and Banstead.

The borough flag is being flown at half-mast from today until Monday morning to show the council’s respects.

Colin’s family will be attending the Remembrance parade in Banstead on Sunday and joining the Mayor at the reception after the service.
