Dear Garden Waste member,

This week our Waste and Recycling team is experiencing unprecedented absence and very challenging working conditions due to the heatwave. As a result, we have taken the decision to cancel garden waste collections this week.

If your garden waste collection is scheduled for this week, your next scheduled collection will be the week commencing Monday 14 July 2025. There is no need to report a missed collection this week, including if your bin was not collected yesterday (Monday 30 June). However, please be reassured that we will collect any excess waste on your next scheduled collection day.

 
As stated the terms and conditions of your Garden Waste membership, we may terminate or change the arrangement in accordance with the Consumer Rights Act 2015. It also states: "The Council may need to alter collections in some situations, for example during periods of severe weather."

We apologise for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience while our crews continue to work hard to deliver our statutory services.
